Getting Started

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Lessons will meet at the orange lesson cones that are located at the bottom of the beginner hill.

Walk-in lesson requests will be offered based on availability. Please call (269) 694-2820 ext 4 if you can not provide a 24 hour advance notice on the reservation page and we will do our best to schedule your request over the phone. 

Due to COVID-19 all kids 3 – 5 years old who are 1st time or a beginner must take a private lesson and the parent may need to participate in the lesson as needed.  Instructors will social distance and parents might need to help with “hands-on” assistance. This decision will be made by the instructor on the day of your lesson.

Bittersweet Ski School Ski/Snowboard Lesson Registration

Learn the basics of skiing or boarding before you hit the hill.

Will this be a ski or snowboard lesson?

Note: All Group lesson participants will be in either a Ski or a Snowboard lesson. Group lessons can not combine skiing and snowboarding into one lesson.

Please note: Every effort will be made to assure that your lesson begins on time. However, in rare cases due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, traffic delays, etc), your lesson time may be delayed by up to 45 minutes.

Refund policy:

No refunds. You may cancel your reservation at any time. In the event of cancellation, you’ll be given a credit for the same or equivalent lesson package for the 2020-2021 ski season.
* Skiers and Snowboarders ages 4 and under receive a complimentary lift ticket and a $15 discount on equipment rental.
* Skiers and Snowboarders 5-10 years of age receive a discounted $25 lift ticket and equipment rental for only $15.

Registration and Release

In consideration of myself OR my child (OR minor of which I have guardianship over considered 'my child' herein) being permitted to participate in any way in the lesson or activities, I represent that I do, on behalf of myself OR my child: 1. I acknowledge agree and represent I fully understand the nature of skiing and snowboarding, and that I am and my child(if applies) is qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such lesson/activity. 2. I fully understand that (a) skiing and snowboarding involve risk and dangers serious injury, (b) these risks and dangers may be caused by my own (or my child’s) actions or inactions, or the actions of inactions of others participating in the lesson and/or the condition which the lesson/activity takes place. Even with grooming, icy and bare spots may exist. 3. I hereby agree for myself and for my child (if applies), to release, discharge and covenant not to sue Bittersweet, Bittersweet Ski & Snowboard School or its administrators, directors, agents, members, volunteers, employees, owners (each considered one of he 'Releases' herein), from all liability claims, demands, losses or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the 'Releases' or otherwise. I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the lesson or activity. My signature signifies that I fully understand and agree to be bound by this Release and Waiver Agreement, for myself and for my underage child (if applicable), and agree that if my portion of this agreement is held to be invalid the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force & effect.
Each lesson participant also agrees to a self assessment for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to arriving at Bittersweet for lessons as follows:

  1. Do you have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19?
  2. Did you have close contact with a person with probable or confirmed COVID-19 while they were ill and you did not wear (were not wearing) appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
If you responded YES to either question, you are NOT permitted to join and you should stay home.

I agree to accept and abide by the terms of the Bittersweet Ski School Registration and Release.
